While being the perfect place to rest from the long road and absorb the peaceful energy of the African bush and mountain scenery, Moonraker Farm also offers several fun and fascinating experiences.
Delight in the variety of bird species that can be spotted flitting from tree to tree, stroll to the farmyard to meet our friendly contingent of animals and join a gentle walk to watch the sun set at the end of the day. The more energetic can stretch their legs on our trails into the mountains, cycle on the tracks or farm roads, and partake in an overnight camping adventure where meals are provided and all luggage is carried by the mules. Settle in and experience the Moonraker magic.
Hiking trails range from a long walk through riverbeds, valleys and hills at the foot of the mountains to the challenging hike to the peak of the Auas mountains where you have a magnificent view of the area. Follow a designated trail or explore the surroundings off the beaten track.
Team building & training
Our leadership and team-building trainer, Ume, will design a programme especially for you - to create, nurture and grow a modern and dynamic team spirit within your organisation.
Moonraker Farm is home to a variety of animals, including chickens, goats, sheep, horses, mules, pigs and cows, which all live here with us in a happy symbiosis. Many were rescued from unhappy situations and have found a warm and loving home on the farm. Come and say hello and meet our friendly crew. Spend time wandering among them, petting and conversing with them. They are sure to bring a smile to your face.
Celebrate your or your child’s birthday with us. We’ll create a special personalised programme for a fun-filled and unforgettable day.
Hop onto your mountain bike to explore the area on designated single-track paths or on farm roads. Breathe in the wonder of the great Namibian outdoors.
Bring your class to Moonraker Farm for an educational, interesting and enjoyable experience. Our tailor-made programmes will leave learners with valuable and lasting memories of farm life.
One of the best things to do at the end of the day is to celebrate the golden hour as the sun sets. Join us for a 20-minute walk to our special sundowner spot where we raise glasses to the beauty of the Namibian countryside and the joys of life.
The farm and surrounding mountain wilderness are home to a wide variety of bird life. Sit still with binoculars and appreciate the beautiful diversity of our avian friends large and small.
We are excited to offer you a one-or-two-night mule trail adventure in the Auas Mountains. An easy guided walk leads to the overnight mountain camp where you have the option of sleeping in tents or on stretchers under the stars, if you are brave enough. Our team of mules carries all your belongings and delicious meals are provided. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity.
